After you finish shaving, rinse off that area with cold water. The colder the better because it will close the hair follicles backup. If there is any bleeding, get a face cloth, wet it with cold water, then apply it with firm pressure on the area.
Once you finish showering and are all dried off, massage on lotion. Unscented moisturizing lotion works best!
